The Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality (SSTH) is an institution of higher education located in Chur and Passugg in Switzerland. The fields of study include tourism, gastronomy, hospitality and management. Courses of study range from basic vocational education with apprenticeship, higher vocational education to undergraduate and postgraduate education.

SSTH was founded by Dr. Markus Christoffel in 1966. Since 1988, the former spa hotel in Passugg serves as the educational facility for the 300 plus students at the College of Applied Sciences. With the international orientation of the school students from more than 40 nations study their education at SSTH. As the first recognised German speaking Hotel School, SSTH has been teaching according to the new Swiss national frame work since 2009.
The programmes at SSTH are under the control of the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology OPET, The Cantonal Office for Higher Education (AHB) as well as the Association of Swiss Hotel Schools (ASEH). The courses of the vocational school are supervised by the Cantonal Office for Vocational Education (AfB).
The “Stagiere-Course” is a course of further education for hotel industry studying students from Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Latvia) with subsequent internship in the Swiss hotel and restaurant industry.
The food festival is a student-based project that is organised by the students as part of their project management education. Since 2003 the food festival has been open the public and annually welcomes around 2000 guests for a culinary trip around the world. On the 20 degustation stands the students present specialities and exotic dishes from their home countries. Workshops, tasting sessions and presentations supplement the food festival programme.
